Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has published the recruitment notification for the posts of Constables in Haryana Police today. In Haryana HSSC has released a notification for 6000 Police constables, which includes 5000 male constables and 1000 female constables . Eligibility Criteria:-
Candidates, who are planning to apply for Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024 must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission for these posts.
Selection Process
As we mentioned in the starting of the article that the new recruitment rules of the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024 have also changed and now there will be 10 times candidates of the vacancies for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). As per this new recruitment rules of Haryana Police Constables Recruitment 2024, the PMT and PET will be qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded for the above section.
The written exam will include 100 questions for 94.5 Marks and the candidates will also be given 2.5 marks for socio-economic criteria and 3 marks for the NCC certificate. The Selection Process for this Constable Recruitment 2024 includes the following Stages:
- Stage-1: Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- Qualifying
- Stage-2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- Qualifying
- Stage-3: Written Exam- 94.5% Weightage
- Stage-4: Document Verification- 5.5% weightage (3% NCC, 2.5% Socio-Economic Criteria)
- Stage-5: Medical Examination
Age Limit:
- The age limit for Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024 is 18-28 Years for Constables and 21-30 Years for Sub-Inspector. (Age Relaxation of 3 Years Given to All Candidates).

Exam Pattern
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has released the notification for constables and HSSC shall shortlist candidates equal to four times the number of advertised posts for each category among those who have qualified for their Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test, to further appear in the Knowledge Test. The detailed information of the test is given below and candidates are advised to read it carefully:
- (a) All candidates shall have to undergo a knowledge test of ninety-four point five percent (94.5%) weightage comprising of objective type, multiple choice questions. Each question will carry equal marks.
- (b) The medium of examination shall be bilingual i.e. Hindi/English except where the knowledge of Hindi/ English language of the candidates is to be tested.
- (c) The test paper shall include questions on General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, other relevant fields/ trade, etc. There shall be at least 10% questions relating to basic knowledge of computers and at least 20% questions relating to basic knowledge about Haryana. The standard of questions shall be as expected of an educated person, having passed the 10+2 examination for the post of Constable and graduating for the post of Sub-Inspector.
- (d) To be considered for selection against a post of general category, a candidate has to secure a minimum of 50% marks (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage) in the Knowledge Test. In case of consideration against a reserved category post (whether vertical or horizontal) the candidate shall receive a concession of 10% i.e. the minimum cut-off for such candidates shall be 40% (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage).

- The exam paper consists of objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- The question paper is set for 94.5 marks for 100 questions.
- Each correct answer will get 0.945 marks.
- The duration of the exam is 90 Minutes.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission at https://hssc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage click on the “Apply Online for Haryana Police Constable 2024” Link.
Step 3: A new registration form will appear on your screen, click on the “New Registration”.
Step 4: Fill up the basic details i.e Name, Community, DOB, Mobile No, Email ID.
Step 5: You will get a registration number and a message of the same will also be sent to the registered mobile no and email id.
Step 6: Now login with the details and fill in all the complete details correctly as required in the application form.
Step 7: Upload the documents as mentioned in the registration form.
Step 8: Pay the non-refundable online application fee if applicable.
Step 9: Submit the duly filled Haryana Police Constable Application Form 2024 before the last date.
Step 10: Download and take a printout of the Haryana Police Constable Application Form.
